Tom. The 1720 replaced the 1710 in [I think] 1987 and production continued up to about a year ago. The tractor remained the same other then the name change throughout its production. I think the tractor you were thinking of when you replied to the original question was the 1715, a stripped down version of the 1720. Regards, Dave in Vt.

That sounds like a fuel geling {jelling} problem. Are you using any cold weather additives in the fuel?

My brother owns a 1030 with a FEL. It has a 1/3 yd. 60" bucket that it operates just fine. I used it just recently to put a 750# round bale in the back of my pickup. No problem as long as the back end has some ballast on. Dave.

Tom G. I also have to drive about 4 miles on asphalt roads to take care of friends horse manure pile. I have found no difference in the steering with the dampener off. Dave.

I run 35# pressure in the font tires on my 1710. Tires are 6 ply-rated but I still get nervous when inflating them to that pressure. Regards, Dave.

David. There is an interesting discussion on a 1910 with slow hydraulics that started on Feb 2nd.. The search feature won't bring it up, you have to go to "brands" and keep hitting "next page" to get to that date. It goes into detail about the priority valve and a quick easy fix. May be of no help but certainly worth a look. Regards, Dave.

Rick. Is your 2110 a 4 cyl.? Tractor Tips shows it as a 3 cyl.and thats not the way I remember the one My friend had. Also I bet you have 28" rubber on the rear , not the 24" that they list.

what oil and fuel filter as well as oil to use in a nh 2110 diesel

A friend had one of these, I believe it was 40 engine hp. and 34 PTO. Just a guess as to value, probably around 14,000.

Billy. I wish I had a defintive answer to your question but my memory of the 3010 is not that great. I do know that it and the 20 series had both 540 and 1000 rpm pto speeds. I think the shaft was pulled outof the tractor and replaced bywith the six spline. Be damned if I can remember how it was released or how the speed was changed. I will be talking to my brother tommorow, maybe he can remeber how it was done on his 4020. Look the tractor over real close and it might be apparent. It looks like you have enough tractor for that mower,133PTO Hp. out of a 531 cubic inch engine. Tractor was built from 1966 to 1972. I will try to get an answer, but probably some of the other old coots on this forum already have one. regard, Dave.

Sounds like you have a bubble of air in the system and are experiencing cavitation. Run the loader thru its complete cycle several times and it should eliminate it.

This sounds too simple to be the problem, but is it possible that one or more of those high lift blades is installed upside down. Just a thought. Dave.

Louis, a diesel engine does not operate the same as a gasoline engine. There are no spark plugs. The fuel/air mixture is fired by heat generated by extremely high compression. Most of the tach/hour meters you refer to are operated mechanically, from the engine. Your Kubota dealer should be able to provide the correct device for your tractor.

Murf. I agree with you. I broke quite a few chains before I learned about the different grades and none did anything other than falling on the ground. Turfman's post was a little unclear but I suspect that the accident that happened to his friend was caused by energy being "stored" in the roots of the stump he was pulling. My 2cts. Dave.

Jerri. Sorry to say , but that dealership closed about 4 years ago. The items iI referred to were just trashed engine blocks that were headed to the scrap yard. Maybe they were melted down to make axles for John Deeres. Regards, Dave

TomG. Ford 8N has 3PT hitch but the pins are smaller than present day Cat 1. Implements can be modified to work on them. All the systems in use today from Cat 1 to Cat 4 are the result of Henry Ferguson's invention which he licensed to Henry Ford. It is still often referred to as "The Ferguson System" .
